P1090560bAlma Veenstra received her PhD in Psycholinguistics from the Max Planck Institute in Nijmegen, the Netherlands in May 2014. She then went to work as a postdoc in Ali Mazaheri’s lab at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. At the end of 2014, Alma moved to Brussels, Belgium, to take up a postdoc at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. With colleagues from the ULB and the University of Cambridge (UK), she started working on the BiBi-project. Currently, she is finishing the BiBi project at the University of Cambridge.

Alma is interested in how children learn language, how grammar works in the brain, and what the consequences are of growing up as a bilingual.
